OREANDA-NEWS  The Kremlin spoke about the situation around Yandex, which has faced difficulties due to the consequences of attacks by Ukrainian drones on the company's data centers. Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, gave a comment, which was quoted by RIA Novosti.

The journalists asked if there was a discussion at the cabinet level about a mechanism for compensating citizens if disruptions in the work of Yandex would lead to financial losses. Peskov noted in this regard that it is premature to talk about such losses now, although the topic of the problems that have arisen "is, of course, being discussed in the government." "You know that the company is strong and powerful," the Kremlin spokesman said, noting that "urgent measures are being taken to eliminate the consequences of this attack."

After the UAV strikes, Yandex services worked intermittently or were unavailable. The company guaranteed the safety of customer funds. On the night of October 13, it became known about the beginning of restoring access to Yandex Pay, in particular to transfers and payments. Access is opened in stages to cope with the load.

The head of the Ministry of Digital Affairs, Maksut Shadaev, said yesterday that Yandex had been subjected to an "unprecedented attack" and the department and the Ministry of Defense were "deciding on the issue of covering up these facilities."

Yandex shares, which have fallen in price by about 9 percent in recent days, on Tuesday, October 13, against the background of the absence of new attacks, recoup almost half of the fall.
