OREANDA-NEWS  Against the background of the deteriorating economic situation, Russia's largest developer, Aeroplane, appealed to Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin with a request to provide a preferential loan in the amount of 48-50 billion rubles. Kommersant writes about this with reference to three sources.

In return, the developer claims, shareholders are ready to provide blocking and more blocks of shares for the government to participate in the management "with the right to buy back." Additionally, they commit to provide external financing of up to ten billion rubles.

The company needs the money for up to three years. Otherwise, there will be a real threat of non-fulfillment of obligations to investors and shareholders. Anna Akinshina, CEO of the developer, complained that over the past year the structure has faced a number of negative factors, including changes in the preferential mortgage program.

Aeroplane is the leader in the current volume of residential real estate construction. The group's net profit in the first half of 2025 fell 2.6 times, to 1.8 billion rubles.

In December, it was reported that Aeroplane wanted to issue bonds to reformat the debt structure with an upper limit of 300 billion rubles, which is comparable to the total debt.

Also in December, it became known that Russia's largest employer, Russian Railways, had asked the government for urgent assistance in the amount of 200 billion rubles to cover the cash gap in operating activities. However, the company did not receive support, as the government felt that if it helped in this case, then a wave of similar appeals from other large companies would follow.
