The manager of the local branch of the Bank of Russia was arrested in the Russian region

OREANDA-NEWS The court arrested Magomed—Bek Uzhakhov, the manager of the Central Bank (CB) branch of the National Bank of the Republic of Ingushetia of the Southern Directorate of the Bank of Russia; investigative actions were also conducted in his office in a criminal case on the embezzlement of more than four million rubles. This was reported by Interfax with reference to the press service of the FSB in the region.
According to the investigation, the amount of damage caused to the state arose as a result of abuse of official authority on the part of Uzhakhov, and during a search at his place of work and residence, evidence of his illegal activities was seized.
Prior to this, the agency learned that the bank's branch manager, knowing that his relative, the head of the system and technical sector of the informatization department, had stolen a mobile workstation worth about 110 thousand rubles, had not notified the Central Bank about this, had not brought the man to justice and had not terminated the employment contract with him.
According to the information provided by the investigation, last fall, Uzhakhov instructed his subordinates to prepare documents with false information about the virtually missing property and approved a fictitious invoice. On October 27, he was detained.
Earlier, the head of the Bank of Russia, Elvira Nabiullina, refused to comment on the situation with the arrest of the head of the Deposit Insurance Agency, Andrei Melnikov, who was taken into custody in the case of embezzlement of about four billion rubles during the operation of the Aquamir water park in Novosibirsk.
