OREANDA-NEWS  On the night of July 8-9, dozens of Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were shot down over the regions of Russia. This is stated in a statement issued by the Russian Ministry of Defense after the raid, as quoted by RIA Novosti.

According to the defense Ministry, twelve subjects of the federation came under attack, including the Tver, Novgorod, Orel and Leningrad regions, as well as the Crimea and Krasnodar Territory. In addition, the UAVs were destroyed over the Sea of Azov.

In total, according to the Ministry of Defense, 73 UAVs were destroyed by air defense systems.

Earlier it was reported that after the attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Tver region, an oil depot caught fire, and an industrial enterprise in the Stavropol Territory. Two tankers were also attacked and caught fire in the Sea of Azov.
