OREANDA-NEWS The Russian Ministry of Health has created a new list of strategically important medicines, including 206 drugs. This is evidenced by the draft of the ministry, which was reviewed by RIA Novosti.

The document was prepared following a meeting of the interdepartmental commission. The updated list consists of two sections: the first contains 61 drugs, the second contains 145 more drugs.

Nine names were excluded from the previous version of the list: benzatin, benzylpenicillin, bosentan, procarbazine, prourokinase, peginterferon alfa-2a, tenecteplase, tumor necrosis factor alpha-1, cepeginterferon alfa-2b and epinephrine.

Earlier it became known that Russia has expanded the list of vital and essential medicines (VED), adding new active ingredients to it. The list includes a domestic drug with INN "Goflikitsept", which is used for the treatment of heart disease.
