OREANDA-NEWS  Brands from Asia and the United Arab Emirates are actively entering the Russian market, domestic companies are also increasing their positions, State Secretary - Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Viktor Yevtukhov told RIA Novosti in an interview.

According to him, almost all the countries that are currently represented on the Russian market have been on it before, and now there has been a redistribution of shares. "Conditionally, "Asian" brands are now increasing their share, more actively present in the market. The Arab Emirates are now well represented here. The CIS countries have also always supplied their products to the Russian market, but now there are even more of them. The Russian market is large and attractive – there are a lot of people willing to trade here," Yevtukhov stressed. He also added that with the departure of a number of foreign brands, the assortment on the shelves has not become impoverished, Russian companies have actively begun to replace foreign products.

"For some categories of non-food products, the situation is more complicated - manufacturers need time to get used to new niches. But the consumer does not feel all this. Because not only our companies come and master the liberated market. New brands from friendly countries also come to us. At the same time, Russian retail chains are promoting their STM. Therefore, from the point of view of saturation and diversity in the consumer market, Russian trade is doing an excellent job," Yevtukhov summed up.
