OREANDA-NEWS The Ministry of Industry and Trade will reduce the list of goods for parallel imports, including to support Russian manufacturers, the ministry said.
"With the development of domestic production of missing items, increasing supplies of products from friendly countries and other factors, the list of products is being adjusted towards reduction. Now the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia has prepared the next changes to the list of goods for parallel import, the order is being registered with the Ministry of Justice," the ministry explained.
The ministry added that parallel imports are a flexible tool designed to provide the economy with goods in the face of turbulence in foreign markets.
Roman Chekushov, Deputy head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, announced plans to adopt an order to change the list of goods for parallel imports in March. He noted that the agency is finalizing nuances with industries.
The parallel import mechanism was launched in Russia in 2022 after the withdrawal of some foreign companies from the domestic market.
