The most budget tourist destinations in Russia for the May holidays have been named

OREANDA-NEWS Among the most popular tourist cities for the May holidays, Krasnodar, Samara and Vladikavkaz turned out to be the most budget-friendly, according to Lenta.
"Demand for hotels and other accommodation facilities for the May holidays increased by 20 percent year on year. The top three in terms of the number of bookings within Russia, in addition to St. Petersburg, included Moscow and Kazan. In total, these three cities account for almost a third of all bookings for the May holidays," the study says.
The average check for accommodation in Russia during the May holidays, according to analysts, increased by 10 percent year-on-year and amounted to 5,400 rubles per day. Krasnodar turned out to be the most budget—friendly among the popular tourist cities - the average cost per night there was 3,600 rubles. It is followed by Samara and Vladikavkaz, where travelers paid 4,000 and 4,200 rubles per day, respectively.
"Among the foreign destinations, Belarus, Turkey, Azerbaijan, the UAE and Thailand turned out to be the most popular for trips to the May holidays," the researchers added.
Earlier, Vice-president of the Russian Union of Travel Industry Yuri Barzykin said that the most budget-friendly foreign destinations for Russian tourists in the summer of 2024 will be those that do not involve a flight by plane.
