OREANDA-NEWS  The governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, announced an increase to 25 in the number of deaths as a result of the shelling of Belgorod on December 30.

"Today, a four-year-old girl died in the children's regional hospital, who was in a state of high severity with combined wounds to the chest and internal organs," he wrote on Telegram and explained that it was impossible to take her to Moscow due to DIC syndrome and heavy bleeding.

On January 1, the Minister of Health of the Belgorod Region, Andrei Ikonnikov, announced that more victims had been discharged from local hospitals and 45 patients remained in hospitals. Most of the victims are in a moderate state of severity, some were waiting for planned operations.

The minister noted that 58 victims were in hospitals in the region the day before, 13 were discharged.

25 victims were sent to Moscow for treatment.
