OREANDA-NEWS  The total number of pensioners has decreased since 2021. This information follows from the data of the Social Fund of Russia, posted in the unified interdepartmental information and statistical system. Thus, the total number of pensioners decreased from 42.2 million people (as of October 2021) to 41.8 million people (as of January 1, 2023). At the same time, according to the data, the number of pensioners who do not work has practically not changed (33.8 million versus 33.9 million people). The number of pensioners who are still working has decreased from 8.4 million people to 7.9 million people.

In addition, the data showed that the average pension in Russia is 19,322 rubles, the average pension for non—working pensioners is 20,239 rubles, and for working people — 15,398 rubles.

At the same time, the highest indicator of the average size of pensions is among people who receive it for years of service. Thus, the average pension for years of service is 850 500 rubles, and for working pensioners — 920 134 rubles.
