OREANDA-NEWS The number of victims of the shelling of Shebekino by the AFU has increased to eight people, there are no fatalities, the governor of the Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov said in the Telegram channel.

"There was no enemy on the territory of the Belgorod region and there is not. The armed forces, border guards, the Federal Security Service, the Russian Guard on the spot. But there is a massive shelling," the head of the region said.
Local authorities are now dealing with the issue of removing residents to safe areas, but it will be possible to do this only when the shells stop falling. If there is a need for urgent evacuation, it is possible with the help of protected equipment, which will be adjusted directly to the house, Gladkov added.

Shebekino is located about four kilometers from the border with Ukraine, about 40 thousand people live there. The city is constantly being attacked by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in recent days massive shelling has been carried out almost continuously. According to the local administration, 37 apartment buildings and 29 private houses, over 70 cars were damaged in the city yesterday alone.
