OREANDA-NEWS  More than 20 people were arrested at Sheremetyevo Airport in connection with the deception of veterans of the special operation in Ukraine. This was reported by TASS with reference to law enforcement agencies.

A total of 23 people were arrested, including police officers. They are accused, among other things, under Article 210 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Organization of a criminal community or participation in it").

"In the present criminal case, initiated under Article 158 ("theft") and Article 159 of the Criminal Code ("fraud"), 23 defendants were arrested, including 5 police officers of the patrol service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia at Sheremetyevo airport," the source said.

Earlier, State Duma deputy Alexander Borodai said that some army units have individuals who do not take part in their military operations, but have the status of combat veterans. According to him, over time, more and more pseudo-Soviets who did not participate in the battles in Ukraine will appear in the country.
