OREANDA-NEWS   The register of alimony debtors, which will be launched this year, may include about 120,000 debtors who have been subjected to administrative punishment, as well as about 68,000 convicted of non-payment of alimony, Dmitry Aristov, director of the Federal Migration Service of the Russian Federation, told reporters.

The law on the creation of a register of alimony debtors was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin in May last year. The registry should be fully operational this year. Earlier, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Justice Andrei Loginov noted that 133,000 people could appear in this registry.

"By the end of 2024, about 120 thousand debtors may be included in the register of debtors under alimony obligations as those subjected to administrative punishment under Article 5.35.1 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation (Non–payment of funds for the maintenance of children or disabled parents); as those convicted of committing a crime under Article 157 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Non-payment of funds for the maintenance of children or disabled parents parents), – about 68 thousand debtors, "- said Aristov.
