The Russian Armed Forces broke through the defense of Chasov Yar

OREANDA-NEWS Soldiers of the 98th Division of the airborne troops of the Russian Army broke through the defenses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the area of Chasov Yar and entered the outskirts of the city. This was reported by the Telegram channel "Military Commanders of the Russian Spring" (RusVesna).
"Continuing the offensive from Artemovsk, the advanced units of the 98th Ivanovo Airborne Division broke through the enemy's defense lines under the Sentinel Yar and approached the outskirts of the city," the publication says.
It is noted that paratroopers from the 11th Airborne Brigade are also approaching the city from the south.
Earlier, retired Major of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Igor Lapin compared the fate of Chasov Yar with the fate of Avdiivka. According to the military, the retreat of the Ukrainian army from the city will be inevitable if Russian troops manage to cut Ukrainian supply lines.
