OREANDA-NEWS The Russian military repelled the offensive of the Ukrainian battalion tactical group in the Kherson region, the Defense Ministry reported.
"In the Mykolaiv-Krivoy Rog direction, Russian units, with the support of artillery, reflected the offensive of the battalion tactical group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Dudchany, Novaya Kamenka, Belogorka, Kherson region," the department's summary says.
In addition, Russian air defense systems shot down 14 HIMARS and Alder multiple rocket launchers near Novaya Kakhovka, Otradokamenka, Korsunka near Kherson and Starognatovka, Gruzsko-Lomovka in the DPR.
Also, a Mi-8 helicopter of the Ukrainian Air Force was shot down in the Kherson region.
Russia has been conducting a military operation in Ukraine since February 24. Vladimir Putin called its goal "the protection of people who have been subjected to bullying and genocide by the Kiev regime for eight years."
