OREANDA-NEWS  The Russian army took control of Kopani, Zaporizhia region. This was stated to journalists by the Russian Defense Ministry during a daily briefing on the situation in the special military operation zone.

According to the ministry, the village was occupied by units of the Russian Vostok group of forces.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin called full control over Donbas and Novorossiya his main task. He did not rule out that the Ukrainian Armed Forces would attempt attacks in order to divert the attention of Russian troops from achieving their goals.
