OREANDA-NEWS According to the results of the last month of spring, 1,409 new UAZ cars were sold in Russia. This was calculated by the agency "Autostat".
In May 2024, this figure was 40 percent higher. In the fifth month of this year, the largest sales volumes were shown by cars with GR. They were bought in the amount of 579 pieces. In addition, 410 Patriot SUVs, 235 Pros, 156 Pickups and 29 Hunters were sold.
In total, 8,406 new UAZ vehicles were sold in Russia from January to May, which is 33 percent less than in the same period last year.
In the first half of April, it was reported that by the end of the first quarter of 2025, sales of UAZ cars decreased by 34 percent, to 4.9 thousand vehicles. The best seller was the UAZ SGR ("Loaf"), which accounted for almost half of the demand — 2,148 cars. It turned out that Russia has not yet found a replacement for this car. Its production does not stop, and the demand does not decrease.
