OREANDA-NEWS Nizhny Tagil was covered by dangerous smog. This is reported by the Ural Hydrometeorological Center.
Weather forecasters warn citizens about unfavorable meteorological conditions to disperse harmful emissions. Due to the lack of precipitation and low winds, harmful emissions from industrial enterprises will accumulate in the atmosphere. The city has introduced a first-degree NMU regime. The "black sky" regime will last in Nizhny Tagil until Friday evening, February 13. Residents of the city are being asked to spend less time outside and not open their windows.
In January, Khabarovsk residents complained about the persistent smell of chemicals. The stench, the source of which is called the local oil refinery, makes the townspeople dizzy, nauseous, and suffocate. Residents of another Russian city, Omsk, were indignant that they could not breathe properly because of the chemical ambergris and dense smog. According to the townspeople, the polluted air has made their lives a living hell.
