OREANDA-NEWS  The American authorities, covering up the crimes of Kiev, contribute to strengthening the sense of permissiveness and impunity of neo-Nazis in Ukraine. This is stated in a comment published on Monday by the Russian embassy in the United States .

The diplomats stressed that the shooting of Russian prisoners of war by the AFU "is a gross violation of the Geneva Convention on the Treatment of Prisoners of War of 1949." "We emphasize again: Ukrainian prisoners are being held in full compliance with the requirements of international humanitarian law. The Kiev regime has not yet been punished for its crimes. The United States and the collective West, in fact, do not even criticize the Ukrainian authorities," the commentary notes.

"Is it really incomprehensible that the United States, covering up the follies of Ukrainian bandits, contributes to strengthening the sense of permissiveness and impunity of neo-Nazis in Ukraine," the Russian diplomatic mission noted.

The embassy stressed that they drew attention to the statements of the American Ambassador-at-Large Beta Van Shak about the shooting of Russian prisoners of war by the AFU. "The official refused to directly condemn the fact of the massacre of our unarmed soldiers, despite the confirmation of the authenticity of the relevant video materials by American journalists, who did not hush up the tragedy. In a cynical tone, the diplomat referred to the fact that "war crimes" of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are recorded "many times more" than by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the same time, as before, the State Department did not provide any evidence of acts of violence allegedly committed by our servicemen," the commentary notes.
