OREANDA-NEWS  The Russian side categorically rejects the accusations contained in the resolution supported on Wednesday by the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Senate of the US Congress on "recognition of the actions of the Russian Federation in Ukraine as genocide." This is stated in the comments of the Russian Embassy in Washington, distributed by the press service of the diplomatic mission. "We categorically reject the accusations contained in the resolution of the commission of the upper house of Congress that Russia's actions in Ukraine constitute genocide. Such insinuations are a blatant distortion of the facts," the diplomats stressed. "For the sake of justifying their Russophobia, legislators juggle formulations from UN documents. They refer to the pseudo-historical postulates of Ukrainian nationalists about the "Holodomor," they added.

According to them, "American parliamentarians have not paid attention to the suffering of Donbass residents at the hands of the Kiev regime for eight years." "They are silent even now, when women, children and the elderly become victims of the APU strikes on the DPR and LPR," the embassy noted.

"The Capitol has long turned into a conveyor belt for replicating anti-Russian initiatives," the diplomatic mission said. "In an effort to inflict a strategic defeat on us, the local political establishment is ready to do anything so that the war "to the last Ukrainian" continues. They don't seem to think about how this will affect European and global security," the diplomats added.
