OREANDA-NEWS Russia expresses its condolences to the people of India over the explosion of a car in Delhi, which claimed the lives of several people. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, her statement was published on the agency's website.

"We have received with extreme concern reports of a car explosion that occurred on the night of November 10 in the historic Red Fort district in New Delhi," the diplomat said.

Zakharova stressed that Russia condemns terrorism and sincerely expresses its condolences to the families of those who did not survive the incident. She also wished a speedy recovery to the injured.

Earlier in New Delhi, a car exploded at the exit of the Red Fort metro station, injuring 24 people. The perpetrator turned out to be a suicide bomber.
