OREANDA-NEWS  Kurganmashzavod delivered the next batch of infantry fighting vehicles ahead of schedule to the Russian Defense Ministry, the press service of the High-Precision Complexes holding (Rostec) reported on Tuesday.

"In June, contracts with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation were closed with a deadline in November for both the supply of new BMP-3 and BMP-3 after major repairs. In total, in the first half of this year, the company produced 95% of the total output for 2022," the press service said in a statement.

"In a few months of this year, Kurganmashzavod has mastered the overhaul of the BMP-2 chassis with modernization for the Berezhok combat module. The first shipment of products took place in the last days of June, a month earlier than the deadline set by the contract. And mechanical modules with modernization for Berezhok have been delivered to the customer since April also ahead of schedule," the message of High-Precision Complexes says.

"The production program of the second half of the year will be even tougher. We have to produce 30% more products than in the past six months," the press service of the executive director of Kurganmashzavod Pyotr Tyukov quotes.

"For almost a year, the Kurganmashzavod labor collective has been working six days a week for 12 hours. A round-the-clock shift schedule has been introduced at some production sites," the holding said in a statement.
