OREANDA-NEWS In the Sverdlovsk region, a court sentenced Alexander Pershin, Dmitry Pichugin and Artur Shamanaev to a high-security colony for trying to sell drugs. 

Pershin will spend eight years and one month in prison, Pichugin — nine years, and Shamanaev was sent to a colony for seven years. All three were found guilty under articles 30, 228.1 ("Attempted illegal sale of narcotic drugs") The Criminal Code OF the Russian Federation.

According to investigators, in 2021, the convicts conspired to sell narcotic drugs and distributed roles among themselves. Pershin bought a synthetic narcotic drug, and his accomplices packaged the banned substances in 206 bundles, preparing them for subsequent sale. After Pershin and Shamanaev took 92 parcels with them and arrived in Revda, where they placed them in 40 hiding places.

The men were caught red-handed. The drugs were seized by the security forces.

Earlier in Novosibirsk, a court sentenced a member of an organized criminal group to nine years in a high-security colony for attempting to sell more than 20 kilograms of drugs.
