OREANDA-NEWS  The Stalker heavy robotic mine clearance complex is being tested in the special operation zone near Avdiivka in the DPR, a representative of the manufacturer of the DST-Ural machine (Chelyabinsk) told reporters.

"This complex is designed to clear the area of explosive objects, to carry out humanitarian demining, and is designed to work on all types of fields. Unfortunately, there are no similar samples in our country. There are only imported cars. It is distinguished by its price and the fact that it is produced in Russia. This sample is an experienced one that has arrived for testing. The weight of the machine is 27 tons with a working body – this is a rotating firing trawl," said a representative of DST-Ural during the tests of Stalker.

According to him, the developers used an EMZ engine with a capacity of 540 horsepower in the robot. The maximum speed is up to 10 km/h, and when trawling - from 1 to 5 km /h.

The machine is controlled by the operator using a remote control. The control range of the vehicle in the special operation zone, where there is high radio interference, is around 1 km, and at a distance from the contact line - about 3 km. There is also a command post where the image from the four cameras on the car is displayed.

According to a RIA Novosti correspondent, the robot explored the area near one of the highways in the Avdiivka direction, where mines could be located.
