OREANDA-NEWS  A bill has been submitted to the State Duma deputies providing for the possibility for parents of schoolchildren to take a day off on September 1. This is reported by TASS.

The authors of the document, a number of deputies from the New People faction, proposed giving guardians and foster parents the right to another day off, noting that now domestic employers "do not always recognize Knowledge Day as a valid reason for providing a day off," which deprives parents of the opportunity to take their children to school and accompany their children to celebrations. rulers and first lessons.

The parliamentarians also noted that parents' participation in such events is not a formality, but "an important support that creates a sense of confidence in the child at the beginning of a new learning phase."

According to the authors of the initiative, its implementation will help strengthen family ties and increase parents' involvement in the educational process, the publication says.

This is not the first time that deputies have expressed the idea of making September 1 a day off, although it had not been put into the form of a bill before. So, in August last year, State Duma Deputy Speaker Boris Chernyshov proposed making September 1 a day off for citizens whose children are in elementary school, and at the beginning of this month, Deputy Dmitry Gusev called for a paid day off for all parents of schoolchildren.
