OREANDA-NEWS  Andrei Lugovoy, first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Security and Anti-Corruption, proposed reviewing the gas benefits provided by Russia to Armenia, as well as providing for the possibility of restricting the import of Armenian cognac.

Currently, Armenia is a member of the EAEU, as is Russia. At the same time, as Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, pointed out, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is persistently dragging the republic into the EU, trying to preserve all the benefits of participation in the EAEU.

, "It is necessary to start reviewing the gas benefits. For decades, Russian gas has been not just a commodity for Armenia, but an element of the allied architecture. If it collapses, the discounted price should be replaced with a commercially reasonable one. In this case, it is proposed to raise it to European prices - from 400 to 600 dollars per thousand cubic meters," Lugovoy said during a round table in the State Duma "Armenia without Russia and Russia without Armenia: causes, results and consequences."
