OREANDA-NEWS Mikhail Leus reported an abnormally low air temperature in Moscow. It should be noted that Leus is a leading specialist at the Phobos Weather Center.

"The air temperature at the base weather station of the city of VDNKh dropped to minus 25.2 degrees — there have not been such frosts in the metropolis for 74 years on this day!" the forecaster wrote.

In 1950, the air temperature on January 3 was minus 29 degrees. However, the record of this day belongs to 1942, when frosts came to the capital to minus 35-36 degrees.
