OREANDA-NEWS Chinese President Xi Jinping will have tea with Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss relations with the United States, as well as conflicts in Ukraine and Iran. This was stated by the assistant to the Russian leader Yuri Ushakov, quoted by TASS.

Ushakov noted that the official part of the talks between the two heads of state was "generally positive."

The talks between Putin and Xi ended earlier. Following the meeting, the leaders signed a joint statement on strengthening comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation.

Prior to that, Putin said that the talks with Xi were held in a friendly and meaningful manner. He noted that Moscow and Beijing will continue to develop cooperation both in a bilateral format and on international platforms.
