OREANDA-NEWS  The number of unemployed in Russia has reached another historic low, amounting to 2.6 percent. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to Rosstat data.

The materials say that in April, the total number of unemployed in the country amounted to 1.961 million against 2.026 million a month earlier. In March, the share of unemployed Russians was 2.7 percent, in February — 2.6 percent.

At the same time, it was noted that the level of rural unemployment in the country is more than twice that of urban unemployment.

As Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said earlier, there are also fewer unemployed youth in Russia - in five years, the proportion of citizens aged 15-24 who do not study and do not work has decreased from 10.6 to 8.7 percent.
