OREANDA-NEWS In Russia, the list of professions unsuitable for women has been significantly reduced, but all decisions on this issue need to be made without haste and taking into account women's health. This was stated by Yaroslav Nilov, head of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs, in an interview with TASS.

The deputy noted that when reviewing the list, experts also approve it. They evaluate occupational safety standards, issues of preserving women's health and possible damage to it. According to him, the list has become noticeably smaller in recent years.

"The imbalance that existed a few years ago is much smaller in this part today. But I think that the list should be adjusted very carefully. It is necessary to take care of women's health first of all," said Nilov.

According to the roadmap approved by the Government, the number of professions unsuitable for women should be reduced by December 2027. The reduction will affect the transport and manufacturing industries.
