Tourists began to travel more often in Russia

OREANDA-NEWS The head of the Ministry of Economic Development, Maxim Reshetnikov, said that tourists began to travel around Russia 10 percent more often. He stated this at a meeting of the board of the department, according to the ministry's website.
Reshetnikov also clarified that the number of foreign tourists has increased by 35 percent over the year. He called such data the result of the introduction of electronic visas and group visa-free travel.
Earlier it was reported that foreigners flocked to Russia en masse — the number of visitors from abroad increased by 18 percent in 2024 compared to 2023. China has become the absolute leader among all countries in terms of the number of incoming subscribers.
