Trade between Russia and China has grown dramatically

OREANDA-NEWS Since the beginning of 2023, trade between Russia and China has grown dramatically. This is reported by Kommersant with reference to the Main Customs Administration of the People's Republic of China
In July, the volume of trade between the two countries decreased by 6.4 percent, to a billion dollars. Imports from Russia decreased by 18.3 percent on a monthly basis, to $ 9.2 billion, the customs administration noted.
At the same time, China's trade turnover with the United States decreased. In the first half of the year, it decreased by 14.5 percent, to $ 327.26 billion. From January to June, Beijing exported products worth $239.35 billion (minus 17.9 percent), while Washington exported $87.91 billion (minus 3.7 percent).
During talks with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin in Beijing, Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Li Qiang announced a brilliant prospect of Russian-Chinese cooperation. According to him, the bilateral trade turnover between Russia and China is growing rapidly, and China plans to maintain contacts between the business circles of the two countries and will do everything to ensure that the agreements with Moscow are implemented in practice.
