OREANDA-NEWS The trade turnover between Russia and China in January-August amounted to $155.1 billion, which is 32% more than in the same period of 2022. In January-July, the trade turnover grew at a faster pace — by 36.5%, in January–June — by 40.6%.

Statistics were provided by the Main Customs Administration of the People's Republic of China. Exports from China increased by 63.2%, to $71.8 billion, imports to China — by 13.3%, to $83.3 billion.

In 2022, the trade turnover between Russia and China increased by 29.3%, to $190.27 billion, which became a record. Russian Presidential aide Maxim Oreshkin called China a key Russian partner that surpassed the European Union in terms of trade. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that 70% of cross-border settlements between Russia and China are carried out in rubles and yuan.
