OREANDA-NEWS Doctors discovered that US President Donald Trump has chronic venous insufficiency following a medical examination. This was stated by White House press Secretary Caroline Levitt, RIA Novosti writes.
According to her, the American leader underwent a comprehensive examination, including vascular diagnostics, bilateral Dopplerography of the veins of the lower extremities. Levitt added that chronic venous insufficiency is a benign and common disease, especially among people over the age of 70.
The White House spokeswoman added that in recent weeks, the politician had been experiencing swelling in the lower parts of his legs, and recent photographs of Trump showed small bruises on the back of his hand. She explained that the latter is due to irritation of the soft tissues due to frequent handshakes and taking aspirin by the American leader.
"There are no signs of deep vein thrombosis or arterial insufficiency.… All the results were within the normal range," she stressed.
In May, former White House physician and Congressman Ronnie Jackson said that former US President Joe Biden probably had 12 to 18 months to live.
Prior to this, The Washington Post newspaper, citing the opinions of doctors and experts, expressed suspicions that the former president could have contracted prostate cancer during his tenure as head of state, but hid this information.
