OREANDA-NEWS. Fraudsters, who took advantage of the gullibility of single women, were detained in the Russian Kursk and near Moscow Lyubertsy.

In the first case, a 31-year-old citizen of Nigeria, a student at a local university, studying at the Faculty of Economics, met a 60-year-old resident of Yakutia and introduced himself as a businessman from the United Arab Emirates.

After several short conversations, the man confessed his love to the victim and offered her a hand and a heart. As a sign of his serious intentions, he allegedly sent her a parcel with jewelry.

Soon, the woman began to receive numerous calls from people who introduced themselves as customs officers and then a transport company. All of them asked to pay taxes, insurance, fines and other costs. The victim regularly transferred money to the accounts indicated to her, eventually losing almost 600 thousand rubles. After that, her "groom" stopped communicating.

Another swindler, a 50-year-old Cameroonian, managed to cheat a 58-year-old resident of the Republic of Mari El. The man introduced himself to her as a diplomatic attaché in Afghanistan.

After a short romantic correspondence, the fraudster said that his office was attacked and he wants to send her his valuables for security reasons.

Further, the situation developed according to a proven scheme: a romantic-minded pensioner began to receive calls and messages supposedly from courier companies, and her lover again began to complain about various problems requiring expenses. The victim sent about three dozen transfers for almost 2 million rubles, after which her chosen one disappeared.

The suspects were taken into custody. According to the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs Irina Volk, criminal cases have been initiated against them under Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Fraud". Currently, the police are establishing other episodes of deceiving gullible women, in which the detainees could participate.
