OREANDA-NEWS  Earthquakes have occurred in two Russian regions — Sakhalin and Buryatia.

According to the head of the Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk seismic station Elena Semenova, quoted by TASS, an earthquake of magnitude 3.4 occurred on Sakhalin. Its epicenter was 11 kilometers east of the village of Pilvo at a depth of three kilometers. The tremors were felt by residents of several settlements.

In turn, the Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Buryatia reported tremors of magnitude 4.6. According to preliminary information, tremors with an intensity of 2-3 points were felt in the settlements of Kumora and Novy Uoyan. There is no destruction, no one was injured.

Earlier in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Yelizov and Vilyuchinsk, residents felt an earthquake. The magnitude of the tremor according to preliminary data was 5.2. According to the ministry, the epicenter was located in the Avacha Bay, 82 kilometers from the regional center. The hearth lay at a depth of 32 kilometers.
