OREANDA-NEWS  A fire broke out in an industrial zone in Kirishi in the Leningrad region after an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), the main purpose of which was an oil refinery located in the city. This was stated by the governor of the region, Alexander Drozdenko.

According to the official, the fire has already been contained. "The fire in the Kirishi industrial zone has been localized, extinguishing work is being completed. The main target of the enemy was KINEF (Kirishinefteorgsintez)," he said. Drozdenko added that there were no victims in the city that was attacked by Ukraine.

He also named the number of drones shot down over the region — according to him, 29 aircraft were destroyed over the Leningrad region.

Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry issued a statement about a massive attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in front of the regime of silence announced by Kiev.
