OREANDA-NEWS  A resident of the Volgograd region was detained in Crimea for transmitting information to the military intelligence service of Ukraine about the deployment of units of the Russian Armed Forces in Sevastopol, the press service of the republican directorate of the FSB reports.

"The illegal activity of an identified agent of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has been suppressed. It was established that a resident of the Volgograd region, born in 1995, proactively established contact with a representative of the special services of Ukraine and, on the instructions of the curator, collected and transmitted information about the deployment of units of the Russian Ministry of Defense in the city of Sevastopol," the report says.

According to the agency, a criminal case on treason has been opened against the detainee, and a preventive measure in the form of detention has been chosen.
