OREANDA-NEWS  VTB Bank concluded four agreements worth more than 40 billion rubles during SPIEF 2025 for the development of residential construction in new regions, said Denis Bortnikov, Deputy President and Chairman of the VTB Management Board.

He spoke at the SPIEF session "The Revival of new regions of Russia as a driver of economic growth," which was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin, Minister of Construction and Housing Irek Fayzullin, the heads of the DPR, LPR, Zaporizhia and Kherson regions.

"The key area, of course, is construction, because there is not enough housing in the new regions. On the sidelines of the forum, we signed 4 agreements worth almost 40 billion rubles that we will build good, high-quality housing. Of the 4 agreements, two were signed with local entrepreneurs," the bank quoted Bortnikov as saying.

He noted that VTB has been operating in the new territories since June last year, with the bank's first office opening in Luhansk. By the end of this year, the bank will have about 40 outlets of various formats.

"We pay special attention to entrepreneurs who are developing, who want to develop projects directly in the territory where they were born, grew up, and received an education. But, in addition to the construction site, the Melitopol Cherry was mentioned here, for example. This is an agricultural enterprise, in the restoration of which we have invested funds. There is a foundry and a mechanical plant in Lugansk, which we helped to reconstruct," Bortnikov added.
