OREANDA-NEWS The Mi-28 helicopter belonging to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation crashed in the Crimea in the Dzhankoy district. This was reported by the agency on May 12, indicating that both pilots were killed.

The plane crash occurred at 15:42. The helicopter was making a planned training flight.

It was also clarified that the flight was carried out without ammunition on board. To clarify the circumstances of the disaster, a commission of the Main Command of the Aerospace Forces (VKS) of Russia was sent to the site.

"The preliminary cause of the crash is the failure of equipment," the military department noted.

Earlier, on May 3, it was reported that a Mi helicopter disappeared in Transbaikalia-2. Later it became known that the aircraft landed at the designated point, there were no casualties among the crew. Verification of the reasons why the commander did not get in touch has begun.
