OREANDA-NEWS  The marketplaces agreed with the Russian Post and worked out a roadmap on the expected volume of the order of services and their cost. Wildberries founder Tatyana Bakalchuk told about this in an interview with RBC.

According to her, a win-win option has been found for both sides, the main thing now is for the Post to be able to fulfill its obligations on its own. "Because we are vitally interested in making it work," Bakalchuk explained.

The marketplace considers cooperation from the point of view of pick-up points and main routes. The scheme has already proven its effectiveness, it turns out to be faster to transport goods from some countries through the Russian Post. The founder of Wildberries stressed that relations with the delivery operator should be based on mutually beneficial terms, and non-market offers, which may seem like a good option, will eventually lead to problems for one of the parties.

Thus, Bakalchuk pointed to the idea of an infrastructure fee from marketplaces, which the Russian Post was trying to promote to solve its financial problems. In November, it was blocked by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, from that moment, according to media sources, the only option left for the operator was assistance from the state — for example, the allocation of funds from the National Welfare Fund (NWF).

Russian Post has been facing serious losses in the last two years. In 2022, they reached 30.4 billion rubles, and the company, according to preliminary forecasts, will end the current year with an indicator of minus 27-38 billion rubles. According to the speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko, a financial hole is growing in the operator and if you do not pay attention to it, it will turn into a pit where everything will fail.
