OREANDA-NEWS  The Russian Interior Ministry has put writer and journalist Dmitry Bykov on the wanted list (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation), according to the ministry's search database.

According to the wanted list, Bykov is wanted under an article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

Currently, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation (TFR) is investigating two criminal cases against the journalist - on the public dissemination of deliberately false information about the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (paragraph "d" of part 2 of Article 207.3), as well as on evading duties provided for by legislation on foreign agents (part 2 of Article 330.1 of the Criminal Code).

The Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation added Bykov to the register of foreign agents in 2022.

In 2021, the writer left Russia for the United States.
