OREANDA-NEWS  Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, commenting on the European Commission's plans to propose a permanent ban on oil imports from Russia in April, said that only a "madman" could behave this way.

"It seems to me that only a madman can behave like this," she said during a briefing.

Earlier, the Reuters news agency, citing a draft document, reported that the European Commission was going to propose a bill on April 15 to abandon the import of Russian oil. As noted by Reuters, Brussels wants to legislate a complete ban on the import of oil from the Russian Federation, so that it remains in force even after the possible lifting of anti-Russian sanctions.
