OREANDA-NEWS. Google may be fined up to $310 million (22 billion rubles). This was stated by Ekaterina Mizulina, director of the Safe Internet League. According to the organization, the company's revenue in the Russian market in 2020 amounted to $3.1 billion (220 billion rubles).

«According to the Safe Internet League, Google's revenue in Russia in 2020 amounted to about 220 billion rubles, including software sales and advertising revenue, for all subsidiaries of Google LLC, including Google Rus LLC. Thus, the fine can range from 14 to 22 billion rubles (depending on the accounting of the revenue of Google Rus LLC)», Mizulina wrote in the Telegram channel.

Earlier, Roskomnadzor announced it's intention to recover turnover fines from Google through the court for repeated refusal to remove prohibited content. According to Deputy head of the service Vadim Subbotin, the share of the fine can range from 1/10 to 1/20 of the annual revenue, but the final amount will be determined by the court.

On the eve it became known that Roskomnadzor plans to demand again from the American company Google to remove the Navalny application. Representatives of the service have already put forward this requirement, and the court recognized the blocking of the resource as legitimate.

According to the agency, the resource is used to promote the activities of organizations recognized as extremist and banned in Russia. In case of non-fulfillment of the order, the supervisory authority threatened with turnover fines.
