OREANDA-NEWS. The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, during a joint live broadcast on Instagram with the speaker of the Chechen parliament, Magomed Daudov, called on the Kazakh people not to destroy the state and compared the events in Kazakhstan with the scenario of the start of military campaigns in Chechnya.

"We are not indifferent to the fate of Kazakhstan. My father was born there, my grandfather's brother is buried there. Our brotherly Kazakh people gave us shelter in the most difficult times. Because of the gas prices, people left: they destroy, kill. Why destroy? Why behave aggressively? They commit crimes and will be punished for this in the future, "Kadyrov said.

He addressed the protesters with an appeal to behave "as peacefully as possible" and not to destroy the state and economy.

“We know what war is, what rallies are. We, too, were led - just like you today - to military events. We lost hundreds of thousands of people, we are missing, people were divided into teips, virds and surnames. This was done by pupils of the special services of different states. And they had the task of destroying the sovereign state of Russia through the Chechen Republic. Therefore, we, the Chechen people, led by the leadership, ask them to think better so that our brothers do not make mistakes, so that they stop and do not bring the situation to military events. " , - said Kadyrov.

He also called for those who are "at the head of these protests" to stop as the state accepted the government’s resignation and cut gas prices.

“War never leads to good, war destroys, destroys and kills. I ask those who are at the head of these protests to stop.

In early January 2022, residents of the cities of Zhanaozen and Aktau in western Kazakhstan protested against a two-fold increase in prices for liquefied gas. On January 4, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev announced that he was ready to fulfill the main demand of the protesters and reduce gas prices. However, the protests spread to other cities as well. In Mangistau and Almaty regions, as well as in Alma-Ata, a state of emergency was introduced until January 19. On the morning of January 5, Tokayev dismissed the government.
