At its client conference, GroupM, which combines advertising agencies of the British communications holding WPP, on Tuesday, November 12, presented a new forecast for the development of the Russian advertising market. In 2019, the total costs of advertisers, according to the Director General of the GroupM Russian office Maria Kolosova, will increase by 3%, to 483 billion rubles.

The growth of the entire market will provide only the segment of online advertising, follows from the forecast GroupM. According to her version, all other media segments - TV, press, radio, outdoor advertising, etc. - will show negative dynamics.

The Association of Communication Agencies of Russia has so far summed up the results only for the first half of 2019. According to her, in the first six months, advertising budgets on TV decreased by 9%, to 81–82 billion rubles., On the radio - by 4%, to 7.3–7.5 billion rubles., On the press - by 16%. , up to 7.4–7.6 billion rubles, for outdoor advertising - 3%, up to 20.7–21.1 billion rubles.

But the cost of online advertising increased by 20%, to 109–110 billion rubles. As a result, the entire advertising market in the first half of the year showed a positive trend - plus 3%, to 226–228 billion rubles. At the end of 2018, the volume of the advertising market increased by 12% year on year.
