OREANDA-NEWS The broadcast of the first Russian channel in the Armenian multiplex has been stopped. This was announced by the Ministry of High Technologies of Armenia, TASS reports.

The reasons for this decision are not specified.

On October 24 last year, Russian Ambassador Sergei Kopyrkin was summoned to the Armenian Foreign Ministry because of a broadcast on Channel One. A protest note was sent to the diplomat. According to the Armenian department, "insulting and completely unacceptable statements" were voiced on the air of the TV channel in relation to high-ranking officials of the republic. The program was dedicated to the political course of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
