OREANDA-NEWS. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said that Beijing and Moscow together can ensure global order and withstand pressure from "individual countries seeking hegemony and domination in the world."

This was reported by TASS with reference to the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

"I firmly believe that if our great powers, China and Russia, stand shoulder to shoulder and increase cooperation, the international order will be unshakable and global principles irrefutable. Hegemonism will not be victorious," Wang Yi said.

In addition, the head of the PRC Foreign Ministry said that Beijing and Moscow act as guarantors of sustainable development in the world and interact at various important multilateral platforms. In his opinion, the PRC and the Russian Federation do not allow politicizing the problem of the pandemic and together oppose the interference of individual countries in the internal affairs of other states.

“We are strengthening strategic cooperation on pressing issues, helping to maintain stability in the region and playing a key role in strengthening the cohesion of many developing countries,” the minister said.

He also added that China is "opposed to unilateral sanctions and long-arm jurisdiction," and Sino-Russian strategic and pragmatic cooperation "is of global importance and plays an irreplaceable role."

Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China said that China will defend the security in the world on the basis of the agreements between Putin and Xi Jinping.

It was also reported that in December, Putin held talks with Xi Jinping.
