The volume of bets on esports has increased in Russia

OREANDA-NEWS In Russia, the volume of bets on esports in the first quarter of 2023 increased by 25 percent compared to the same period in 2022.
According to the publication, Dota 2 and Counter-Strike have become the main disciplines of esports in the CIS — they account for 95 percent of bets. It is noted that the clients of the Betting League support teams from the CIS — Team Spirit, Virtus Pro and Forze.
The representative of Fonbet notes that this year the average monthly number of clients of the office as a whole increased by 16 percent, and turnover — by 44 percent.
Earlier it was reported that due to the shortage of IT specialists, they wanted to look among gamers. The general director of the company "Mobile Electronic Education" (MEO) Alexander Kondakov called for the development of domestic esports in order to find promising personnel among the participants of the competition.
