So, Stefanishina recalled that the US Senate in the defense budget for 2022 provided for the allocation of $ 300 million in support of Ukraine, including $ 75 million for lethal weapons.

“Political and diplomatic containment is the only way. We see that this pressure is yielding results, ”said the Deputy Prime Minister the most effective measures against the Russian Federation.

She stressed that Kiev intends to maintain a political consensus in support of Ukraine and translate it into concrete actions to contain Russia, sanction and prevent a thaw in relations with Moscow without setting clear red lines related to a peaceful settlement in Donbas and the implementation of the Minsk agreements.

Earlier, more than two dozen US diplomats and national security officials called on President Joe Biden to publish a list of the "most painful sanctions" that Washington is ready to impose against Russia in the event of an "escalation" of the situation with Ukraine.
